Lil Twist is Young Money‘s youngest artist. He’s been signed to Lil Wayne‘s hip-hop collective for five years, and now, at 18, he’s looking to be recognized as more than a kid rapper. Twist is set to drop his debut album, ‘Don’t Get It Twisted,’ later this year, but he has also been in the studio with another artist who is making a transition from kiddie act to young adult performer. His joint mixtape with pop phenom Justin Bieber, which was announced last November, is still a work in progress.
“We’re working on it now,” Twist says of the Bieber collaboration. “We have a lot coming and it’s all fun. Justin and I are not all that serious. We are not just trying to come up with a no. 1 hit. We are doing it in a fun way. That’s how our music is … we just vibe out. Justin is really talented.”
